Alessandro Marino is the Top Prize-winner of the 2015 Ibla Grand Prize competition, through which he made a USA tour and debut at Carnegie Hall in 2016.
He regularly performs as a soloist for the most important associations and festivals in Italy such as Sala Verdi of Milan Conservatory for the prestigious season of Società dei Concerti di Milano, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Festival Verdi of Parma, Festival MiTo both in Milan and Turin, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Festival Brescia and Bergamo, Amici della Musica of Palermo in the Politeama Theatre, Associazione Musicale Etnea of Catania, Filarmonica Laudamo of Messina, Camerata Musicale Barese, Teatro Comunale of Bologna. He regularly also performs in prestigious venues in Germany (Pfalzbau in Ludwigshafen with Deutsche Staatsphilarmonie Rheinland-Pfalz), the Netherlands (Felix Meritis in Amsterdam), Switzerland (Longlake Festival Lugano), Spain (Fundación Botín in Santander), France (Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse), USA (Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall in New York, Argenta Theater in Little Rock, Arkansas, Metropolitan Club in Washington DC), Georgia (Tbilisi State Conservatoire Grand Hall), Vietnam (Hanoi Opera House).
His concerts have often been broadcast by television and radio stations. In particular, Sky Classica HD recorded a documentary on his figure for the show Talenti!. In 2013 he played in Quirinale, the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic and the concert was live recorded and broadcast by the italian channel Rai Radio3. Moreover, he was a guest and played live for italian and dutch national televisions.
In his solo recitals beside traditional repertoire there is often space for compositions of less known romantic composers such as Alkan, Gottschalk, Bortkiewicz.
Wide-ranging pianist and open to experiment new sounds even between different musical genres, he is the founder of Chamber Metal Project, through which he builds up a bridge between classical and metal music, through piano solo or duo transcriptions for piano and electric guitar, strongly influenced by the great romantic piano transcriptions tradition.
In 2011 he received the Diploma released by the International Piano Academy of Imola in which he studied under the guidance of Piero Rattalino and graduated summa cum laude both at Conservatorio di Trapani, under the guidance of Salvatore Spanò, and at Conservatorio di Cesena. He holds a 2nd level postgraduate Master at Conservatorio di Milano perfecting with Giovanni Bellucci.
Very active also as a teacher, he is currently Piano Professor at Conservatorio “Maderna-Lettimi” of Cesena-Rimini. Previously, he was also Professor at the Imola Piano Academy, "Talent development – Eindhoven", Scuola di Musica Ottavanota in Milan, and the Conservatories of Adria, Reggio Emilia, Campobasso and Brescia.
Moreover, he gave masterclasses and lectures at the Vietnam National Academy in Hanoi, the Georgetown University in Washington DC, the Real Conservatorio Superior “Victoria Eugenia” de Granada, Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Màlaga, Conservatorio de Las Palmas and ESMAE do Porto.
